The Sign of Jonah...Well Not Exactly

I think we may need to work on Josh's biblical knowledge. Yesterday we were playing with Easter eggs and I asked him, "What are we celebrating at Easter?". He said, "Jesus". I asked him, "What did Jesus do for us?". He said, "He died on the cross". "That's right" I responded. Then I asked him, "What happened three days later?" This was his answer, "Three days later the big fish spit him out!"

Bottles to Kindergarten Graduation

I took a break from cleaning to post this blog. I was loading the dishwasher with sippy cups, bottles, Mickey Mouse plates, little plastic spoons and a couple of cute pacifiers and I realized that soon this phase in life would be over. Will I miss it? Who would miss keeping up with sippy cup valves and bottle lids? Or the fact that the top rack of my dishwasher is always full, but there is hardly anything in the bottom.

I know that a new season of life with the children will move in as this one moves out and I look forward to watching my children bloom. It does sadden me though to know that my baby is almost one, my little man no longer wears diapers and my oldest is finishing up kindergarten. Whenever Grace brought home the form for her cap and gown order I cried. I know, pathetic. Just wait until her high school graduation!!

All this to say, when you are cleaning, don't take it for granted. Rather reflect on your children and the joy that they bring to your life no matter which season your in.
